Aint that the truth?!? If I would have gotten some of the things I wished for and prayed for along the way, I may not have ended up with the greatest gifts I have now. That's why now in my prayers I include little loops like "if it's in my highest interest...or when the time is right, or if this will bring me the greatest joy and love" things like that. Oh, how grateful I am for the heart aches that are behind me, and that they aren't with me now. If I'd have gotten some of those things that I wanted so badly back then....all I can say is Garth Brooks, I agree with you, Brother. It was the path of the unanswered prayers that brought me to a place that exceeded my prayers. For this, I am so grateful. We don't have to always know why things happen the way they do. Sometimes we get to find out the good way why they did! For those times, be grateful. For the times they don't...keep holding on to your faith and your light because it will bring you someplace better somehow.
